Translucid Paths
Fusing the muses with the culmination of artistic evolution. The amalgamation of myriad artistic expressions rendered in ethereal, translucent forms. Transmuting solid sculptures into fluid forms, offering fresh perspectives and stimulating reinterpretations.
The Translucid Paths series spans Marsh Scott’s public art practice from 1998 to the present, translating site-specific sculptures from across the United States into translucent Mylar forms. Each suspended work reinterprets a full-scale public commission, allowing these geographically dispersed sculptures to be experienced together—seen up close, illuminated, and in conversation for the first time. The project began with works from Orange County and California, with the intention of expanding to include pieces from throughout the country.
