Layered Lens

These works are how I think. Each piece layers a photograph drawn from nature — strata, erosion, organic structure, coastal light — with images of my own sculpture and painting. The camera and the studio in conversation. Photography becomes another material, and the collaged result reveals connections I might not otherwise see: between the world's surfaces and the ones I make by hand. These are ongoing works, and the direction I'm most drawn toward now is deeper into the strata themselves — the cliff faces and layered stone I walk past and photograph every day, combined with the Strataforms. That work is continuing.
